The Bubble Room Restaurant, Florida’s ultimate outrageous dining experience, has relied on FHM for its workers’ compensation for 9 years. Workplace safety takes on a new meaning for FHM’s Senior Loss Control Consultant Dennis Price, since the Bubble Room’s workplace includes toy trains, twinkling colored lights, a 7-foot Mickey Mouse from a 1930 Disney float and an old “Santa’s Workshop” from a Macy’s department store window. Interesting environments can lead to concerns about workplace safety, and that’s why Avilez is so pleased with Dennis’ thoroughness, “He goes through every inch of the restaurant and always follows up with a report and recommendations,” she says.

Treating Everyone Special

Ms. Avilez also appreciates the way FHM takes care of injured workers. The “Bubble Scouts” who sport zany hats and khaki uniforms covered in crazy buttons and shower their customers with large tropical drinks, local seafood and choice cuts of prime rib, pork and poultry, sometimes need special attention themselves. When there is an injury FHM responds quickly. “We recently had a long-term employee injured, and the day we reported the claim, FHM had everything in motion and information to the employee. Everything went very quickly and very smoothly. FHM always goes that extra mile,” explains Avilez.

“We report every single claim regardless of how serious, and every claim gets the same great attention. We recently had a claims situation where we needed someone who spoke Spanish and FHM got us the help. It was no problem whatsoever,” Avilez says.

Finding Everything You Need

Taking care of the Bubble Scouts, the customers, the decor and maintaining the Bubble Room experience takes a lot of time, so Avilez is always looking for ways to be more efficient. She’s a real fan of the FHM web site. “The FHM web site is the greatest,” she says. “I love how easy it is to use and how interactive it is. I file all our claims online. I love having all of the forms and safety posters online, and I really like all of the tools FHM provides. I also like being able to get claims information online. The web site is just another example of why I like FHM so much – they have the whole package.”

“Dealing with FHM is nothing but a great experience,” Avilez says. “From policy services reps, to adjusters and loss control consultants, they are always easy to work with, respond to our needs quickly and always get back to us in a very timely manner. No matter what department you talk to, the service is great.”

Avilez sums up her FHM experience this way “We left for one year because another workers’ compensation company said we would get rebates. Well, the experience was a disaster and we came right back to FHM and won’t leave again!”
